World-class music, right here in your neighborhood this summer.
ESO Community Concert
In the height of summer, the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra is coming to the community. This concert is our way of saying hello to the friends and neighbors who live alongside us—because we believe music is one of the warmest ways to bring people together.
Leading the orchestra is world-renowned conductor Jaap van Zweden. For all his acclaim on the international stage, van Zweden has always believed that music has the power to heal and to connect, and he has spent years sharing that power with people and communities who need it most. It's a conviction that sits close to the heart of everything the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra stands for: warming the world through music. That's why, alongside our neighbors, we're especially honored to welcome children and families facing difficult circumstances to join us.
Since becoming our Artist-in-Residence in 2025, van Zweden has brought something electric to his work with the orchestra. This time, he turns to Mahler—drawing out every color and contour of the music for an unforgettable evening. The program features Mahler's Symphony No. 1. From the hushed first light of the opening movement to the thunderous finale, it's an hour that holds one of the great works in symphonic history.
⏱️ Seats are limited—be ready. As a thank-you to the neighbors and music lovers who have supported us all along, tickets to this extraordinary evening are free, reserved online, first come, first served. We'd love for you to join us.
