ESO 2026 General Regulations of Recruitment

The Evergreen Symphony Orchestra invites applications from outstanding musicians for the following Contracted positions:
Concertmaster - 1 position
Principal Flute - 1 position
Principal Clarinet - 1 position
Principal Oboe - 1 position
Principal Fagott - 1 position
Principal Horn - 1 position
High Horn - 1 position (1 & half year)
Low Horn - 1 position
Principal Trumpet- 1 position
Violin Tutti - 4 position
Viola Tutti - 1 position
Cello Tutti - 1 position(1 & half year)
Double Bass Tutti - 1 position
1. Eligibility:
Have graduated from conservatory or university of Music.
Concertmaster and Principle applicants must demonstrate prior professional principle-position experience.

3. Screening
j Pre-Round – Prescreen
Recording the video.
Record your performance in one take. The final video must not have any edits. The video should include one solo work and one excerpt from the list.
The video must be captured straight from the front of the Applicant and in horizontal format that always displays the Applicant.
Capture your performance using the highest available sound quality.
Your audition video can be recorded using a smartphone camera.
Submitting the video:
Upload your complete performance video to YouTube.
Please include timestamps that mark the beginnings of each audition piece. (Instructions here: [Insert link to external instructions])
Include your name and the timestamp links in the video description.
Please make sure that the video is accessible via link without a password. Choose 'Unlisted' as the privacy setting.
Include the video link in the application form.

5. Event Notes:
All information submitted will be used for audition purpose only, all documents will be kept confidentially and won’t be returned.
- The live audition will include solo section and an orchestral excerpts section. A selection from the orchestral excerpts list will be announced on the audition day.
- The orchestra will provide a piano accompanist, but you may bring your own.
- No copies of repertoire or scores will be available during the live audition, please download them in advance.
Applicants are responsible for their own transportation, travel, and accommodation expenses.
The final round will be recorded for internal use.

7. Employment Terms & Conditions
- Contract Duration: Successful applicants will be offered a five-year contract, structured as follows:
- The first contract term is one year, the second contract term is two years, and the third contract term is two years.
- Remuneration: The annual compensation is up to international standards and is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
- The annual service commitment is approximately 16 weeks of performances.
- Additional Benefits:
- The Orchestra provides a housing allowance for non-residents of Taiwan.
